Abbaye de Sainte-Geneviève (Paris, France)
A monastery in Paris built in approximately 508, it was a center for medieval scholarship with an active scriptorium, and in 1148 Suger introduced the canons regular of Saint-Victor to the abbey. In 1634, it was named the mother house of all houses of regular canons in France. It was closed in 1790 during the French Revolution.
