Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro

Under Grand Master Duke Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy (1553-1580), Pope Gregory XIII merged the Order of Saint Maurice with the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem with the bull Pro commissa nobis on November 13, 1572. The Ordine di San Giacomo d'Altopascio was absorbed into the Ordine dei Santi Maurizio e Lazzaro in 1672.
