Marist Brothers

Catholic religious institute of brothers and affiliated lay people founded in 1817 by Marcellin Champagnat, a Marist priest from France, with the goal of educating young people; approved in 9 January 1863. Not to be confused with Father Maristes or with Marianistes, both named Societè de Marie.
