Universität Graz

University in Graz, Austria, founded in 1585 by Archduke Charles II of Austria, but closed in 1782 when Emperor Joseph II transformed it into a lyceum. It was reestablished in 1827 by Emperor Francis I, gaining the name Karl-Franzens-Universität.
