Mkhitʻarean Miabanutʻiwn i Vienna
This is the Viennese monastery of the Mechitarists, an Armenian Roman Catholic congregation of monks founded as an order in 1701 with a main house in Venice since 1717. One branch of the order split from the Venetian group in 1773, establishing first in Trieste and then in Vienna (in 1805). They reunited with the Mechitarists in Venice in 2000.

- Mekhitarist monastery in the 7th district of Vienna; preservation of Armenian heritage; in 1773 a group of the Mekhitarists separated from Mekhitarists in Venice and opened a new monastery in Trieste; had to leave Trieste when it was occupied by the French in 1805, seeking refuge in Vienna from Emperor Francis I in 1810; reunited with the Mekhitarists in Venice in the year 2000
