Ushaw College
Ushaw College was a Roman Catholic seminary in Durham, in the north of England, which descended from the English College, Douai (1568-1793). They acquired a collection of medieval manuscripts from a variety of donors and, when Ushaw closed in 2011 due to "a shortage of vocations," they reached an agreement with the University of Durham to manage and catalogue their collections for use by researchers. Microfilms of the medieval manuscripts are available at the Hill Museum & Manuscript Library.

General notes
- Description
- "Ushaw College, Durham (the name by which St Cuthbert's College, Ushaw is commonly known) is a Roman Catholic seminary for the north of England, and a descendant of the English College, Douai, which was founded in 1568 by William Allen and closed in 1793 by the French Revolution. The Douai library did not survive the Revolution, and the medieval manuscripts now in the Ushaw library have been acquired from a variety of donors, both clerical and lay."
