Sant Pau del Camp (Monastery : Barcelona, Spain)

Benedictine monastery founded between 897 and 911. It was destroyed in 1114, and rebuilt in 1117 becoming a priory of Sant Cugat del Vallès. It was later joined as a priory to Sant Maria de Montserrat in 1508, and then in 1593 it was again attached as a priory to Sant Cugat del Vallès.In 1617, it was joined to Sant Pere de la Portella. A special novitiate institution was initiated at Sant Pau del Camp in 1672 for the Congregació Claustral Tarraconense.
