Malta Maritime Museum
The Malta Maritime Museum is a cultural heritage institution located in Birgu (Malta). Plans to establish the Malta Maritime Museum began in 1988. The Museum officially opened on July 24, 1992 in the building of the old Royal Naval Bakery in Birgu, Malta. The bakery was built between 1842 and 1845, and later served as the British Admiralty Constabulary from the end of World War II until 1979. By 2020, the museum's collections included more than 20,000 artifacts illustrating Maltese maritime history.
