Leach, Bernard, 1887-1979
English potter and writer, who trained in etching at the Slade School of Art, London; taught in Japan where he developed an interest in pottery; studied with Kenzan VI; and established the Leach Pottery at St Ives, Cornwall, in 1920 with Shōji Hamada.
