Gíwargís bar Dāníʼél, active 1695-1735
Deacon (mšamšānā), priest (qašíšā), and scribe of the Naṣro family (first scribal generation); he was active copying manuscripts in Alqūsh, in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. He spent time in Tall Usquf and in Jerusalem, returning to Alqūsh in 1730 and subsequently calling himself "the pilgrim."

- One of 4 brothers (sons of the priest Daniel, son of the priest Elīyā, son of the priest Daniel) who began scribal careers between 1677 and 1705; the youngest of the brothers, the scribe Gīwārgīs, a deacon by 1695 and a priest by 1715, who copied or restored 16 manuscripts between 1695 and 1735, the earliest helping his brother Yaldā, mostly in Alqōsh, but also in Tel Isqōf (1702, as deacon in the church of Mār Gīwārgīs) and in Jerusalem in 1724-1725 (as sacristan of the monastery of Mart Maryam); called himself "pilgrim" in colophons after his return to Alqōsh from Jerusalem in 1730
