Tiridates III, King of Armenia, approximately 250-approximately 330

He was King of Armenia, who regained the throne with the support of Roman emperor Diocletian in 287; converted by Gregory, the Illuminator, he proclaimed Christianity the state religion in 301 and was made a saint of the Armenian Church.
