Schlick, Kaspar, approximately 1396-1449
Kaspar Schlick (approximately 1396-1449) was a diplomat and politician of the Holy Roman Empire. He attended the University of Leipzig, and later served Sigismund, Holy Roman Emperor (1368-1437), at the Council of Constance. He was a clerk who moved up the administrative ranks to vice-chancellor, then chancellor at the imperial court. He took part in the Council of Basel, and continued to serve Albrecht II after Sigmund's death.
