Philip III, King of Spain, 1578-1621

Spanish king (Philip III of Spain and Philip II of Portugal), son of Philip II of Spain by his fourth consort, his Habsburg cousin Anna of Austria. His reign witnessed the outbreak of the Thirty Years' War and the expulsion of the Moriscos, as well as ushered in the gradual decline of the Spain and its empire.
