Simon, Chèvre d'Or, active approximately 1152

French Augustinian Canon, who was a poet and later a canon at Saint-Victor de Paris. He is best known for his version of the Iliad and the Aeneid, which he entitled Ylias, and the hagiographical poem Vita et passio Sancti Thomae Cantuariensis.
