Canals, Antoni, 1352-1419

Antoni Canals was a Dominican friar, preacher, and translator. He is best known for his sermons and translations of classical works into the vernacular Catalan. He also taught theology in his native Valencia. After a brief stay in Barcelona, he returned to Valencia and served as lieutenant of the kingdom's Inquisition from 1401 until his death in 1419,
