Maria Elizabeth, Archduchess of Austria, 1680-1741

Habsburg Archduchess of Austria, who was the daughter of Leopold I of Austria (1640-1705), Emperor of the Romans (later Holy Roman Emperor from 1658 to 1705), and his third wife Eleanor Magdalene Therese of Neuburg (1655-1720), as well as the sister of Holy Roman Emperors Joseph I (1678-1711) and Charles VI (1685-1740). She was appointed governor of the Austrian Netherlands by her brother Charles VI, a position she held from 1725 until her death on August 26, 1741. She never married and was without issue.
