Schousboe, Peder Kofod Anker, 1766-1832
Peder Kofod Anker Schousboe (1766-1832) was a Danish botanist and diplomat. He traveled to Morocco and Sweden on scientific voyages in the 1790s, before being appointed as Danish Consul in Tangier. In addition to serving his diplomatic role, he studied and published on Moroccan plant life, and he was greatly interested in Arabic manuscripts about natural science.
