Martí I, King of Aragón, 1356-1410
Known as Martin the Elder, he was King of Aragon, Valencia, Sardinia, and Corsica as well as Count of Barcelona from 1396. He became King of Sicily in 1409 upon the death of his son Martin (the Younger), who had acquired the throne by marriage to Maria of Aragon, Queen of Sicily. Martin II died the following year.
