Arp, Jean, 1886-1966

A German-French painter, printmaker, illustrator, and sculptor, he was born in Straßburg prior to the reversion of the Alsace-Lorraine region to France. Arp is associated with the German group Der Blaue Reiter, the Dada movement in Köln, and the Surrealist movement. He was a founder of Abstraction-Création.
