Uguccione, da Pisa, Bishop of Ferrara, -1210

Italian jurist, lexicographer, and prelate, who studied in Bologna, where he taught law to pupils such as the future pope Innocent III. He is known for his lexicographical, exegetical, and grammatical works Derivationes, De dubio accentu, the Rosarium, the Agiographia, and the Expositio de Symbolo Apostolorum. He was appointed bishop of Ferrara in 1190.
