Boethius, -524

Roman politician, government official, philosopher, and translator of Greek texts. He also wrote about mathamatics and music theory and practice. He was imprisoned and executed for corresponding with the Byzantine government, in an attempt to repair relations between the Roman and Constantantinopolitan Sees.
