Christina, Queen of Sweden, 1626-1689

Queen of Sweden (1626-1689), ruled from 1632 until her abdication in 1654, when she converted to Catholicism and moved to Rome. She was the daughter of King Gustavus Adolphus II and Maria Eleonora of Brandenburg. She was a major patron of the Arts.
