Baumstark, Anton, 1872-1948
German Orientalist, philologist, and liturgist, who was a professor of Semitic studies and of Islamic studies, specializing in Oriental liturgical history. He was an editor of Oriens Christianus. In 1932, he joined the Nazi party and remained a member during World War II.
