Johann Casimir, Count Palatine of the Rhine, 1543-1592

Johann Casimir was a German prince and a younger son of Frederick III, Elector Palatine, and Marie of Brandenburg-Kulmbach. He was an ardent Calvinist. He was the founder of the Collegium Casimirianum. From 1583 to 1592 Casimir acted as regent for his nephew Elector Frederick IV.
