Louis Philippe, King of the French, 1773-1850
French king; son of Louis Philippe II, Duke of Orléans, who supported the Revolution of 1789 but was nevertheless guillotined during the Reign of Terror. He spent 21 years in exile and was proclaimed king after the Bourbon Charles X abdicated, and reigned from 1830-1848. He was married to Maria Amalia of Naples and Sicily.
