Catholic Church. Congregatio de Propaganda Fide

Congregatio de Propaganda Fide was established by Gregory XV in 1622 to support missions and included the college of the congregation for the education of missionaries and the polyglot press for printing the liturgical books of the East. The congregation administers Catholic churches in all non-Catholic countries. Paul VI renamed the congregation as the Congregatio pro Gentium Evangelizatione on August 15, 1967.
