Stamperia del Komarek

Printing press established by Giovanni Giacomo Komarek in Rome in 1686 after working for the press of the Congregatio de Propaganda Fide. The press was operated by his wife Lavinia Natalini Komarek and his son Paolo Komarek from 1705-1715, and by Lavinia alone until 1729. Giovanni's daughter, Ludmilla Komarek, directed the press from 1729 until 1741, when it was taken over by his other daugther, Vittoria Komarek, from 1741-1761. Vittoria's son, Francesco Bizzarrini Komarek, took over the press from 1761-1766, when it was taken over by Paolo Giunchi (1730-1798).
