Sanseverino, Gaetano, 1811-1865
Neapolitan philosopher and theologian. He taught and studied philosophy in Naples, where he started Biblioteca cattolica publishing house in 1841, and the magazine La scienza e la fede (1841-1888). He graduated with a degree in theology from l'Università di Napoli (23 marzo 1855); held writer posts at the Biblioteca Reale from 1844 to 1860; and was canon of the Cathedral of Naples from 1860. He died of cholera in 1865.

- Born in Naples on August 7, 1811; first attended seminary in Nola, and from 1829 attended seminary in Naples, where he studied theology under Raffaele Piscopo and Giuseppe Parascandolo; ordained a priest on September 20, 1834; began ministry in chapels and hospitals; taught and studied philosophy and had many students in Naples; started Biblioteca cattolica publishing house in 1841, and the magazine La scienza e la fede (1841-1888); graduated with a degree in theology from l'università di Napoli (23 marzo 1855); held writer posts at the Biblioteca Reale from 1844 to 1860; canon of the Cathedral of Naples from 1860; died of cholera in Naples on November 17, 1865
