- Maronite, born in al-Ḥadat at the beginning of the 19th century; student at ʻAin Warqa; agent of the Shihab emirs of Lebanon in Akko and Damascus, and Qāḍī for Christians; died in 1861; his most important work is a history of notables in Mount Lebanon
