Aquin, Philippe d', approximately 1578-1650

French physician, hebraist, philologist, and teacher. He was born Jewish and converted to Catholicism. He was a doctor to Marie de Medici (1575-1642) and a professor of Hebrew and Aramaic language. His descendents served as physicians to secular and ecclesiastical rulers.
