Gallus, Nicolaus, 1516-1570
German Evangelical Lutheran Theologian born in Köthen, Saxony. In 1530 he was a student in Wittenberg, and in 1539 rector in Mansfeld. He was ordained and deacon in Regensburg in 1543. From 1547 he was a lecturer and adjunct at the castle church in Wittenberg and later in 1550 pastor at St. Ulrich and superintendent in Magdeburg. From 1553-1570 he was superintendent in Regensburg.
