Description
Mustafa Remzî b. Hasen el-Antâkî; died 1689; born in Bârbârîn (Ballıöz), probably in the 1620s; uses the name "Remzî" in his poems; served Boynueğri Mehmed Paşa for 5 years in Damascus, then accompanied him to Istanbul; taught at madrasahs until 1675; also worked as a judge in Damascus, Edirne, Mecca, and Istanbul; exiled to Cyprus, where he died in Nicosia on October 5, 1689
