Gesselen, Konrad, 1409-approximately 1469

Konrad began studying at the University of Rostock in 1425, earning his bachelor's the following year and teaching there before settling in Thorn in Prussia (now Toruń in Poland) in 1435. There he was a schoolmaster, teaching astronomy and mathematics, and served as a vicar and pastor. He wrote a Cisiojanus, i.e. a collection of verses for festivals and saints' days and their dates, in Low German and translated Wigand von Marburg's Low German rhyming chronicle into Latin.
