Minderlein, Hans, -1671

Hans was a Meistersinger, schoolmaster, and knife smith based in Nuremberg. Since 1638 he was a member of the Nuremberg Singschule and in 1630 he served in the imperial military. A contemporary Meistersinger of the same name, identified as Hans Minderlein der Ältere, was likely his father, and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether a song was composed by the senior or the junior Minderlein.
