Leboino, diacono

Attributed author of Relatio de revelatione sive inventione ac translatione sacratissimi vultus, a text on the miraculous translation of the Holy Face of Lucca, a wooden crucifix, to the Basilica of San Frediano in Lucca. The earliest extant manuscripts date to the late eleventh or early twelfth century, but the events recounted in the legend date to the eighth century. The persona of Leobinus may be fictitious.
