Alsatian apothecary, physician, mathematician, and architectural theorist. Known predominately for his contributions to medical science, for which he likely never received formal training, he authored pharmacological and anatomical works in Latin and in vernacular German. He also wrote a handbook on medicines under the pseudonym Quintus Apollinaris.
