French engraver, publisher, and printseller active in Paris. Member of the Chéreau family of printsellers and publishers. Son of François II Chéreau and grandson of François I Chéreau and Marguerite Caillou. Sold the Chéreau business to François Étienne Joubert in 1787 or 1788.
