Rouville, Alexandre-Joseph de, 1716-1793?
French Jesuit priest, who was a preacher throughout France from the 1750s until the Jesuits were expelled in 1764. When the order was suppressed in 1773, he took on the pseudonym Abbé d'Hérouville and wrote the Imitation de la très-sainte vierge sur le modèle de l'Imitation de Jésus-Christ (first published anonymously in 1768).
