Sacconi, Raynerius, -1262

Italian Dominican friar and theologian, who was devoted follower of Catharism for many years, writing a description of their beliefs and rites (Summa de catharis) in 1250. From 1252, however, he worked to root out the heretical sect as inquisitor in Pavia and then in Milan.
