Harrach, Franz Anton von, 1665-1727

He was Bishop of Vienna from 1702 to 1706, and Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg from 1706 until his death in 1727. Born into a Bohemian-Austrian noble family, he spent his childhood in Madrid, studied law in Rome, served as a canon in Passau (1685) and Salzburg (1687), and was cathedral dean in the diocese of Passau (1692), then provost, prior to his selection as bishop.
