Thomas Tektek Sindjari; born Telkepe, died ca. 1860; bandit attacking caravans in Djebel Sindjar as a youth; converted, returned to Telkepe, worked as a weaver, "hence the surname Tektek, which recalls the sound of the shuttle"; sang his poems in Christian villages, collecting alms
