Pantaleon, Heinricus, 1522-1595
Swiss theologian, physician, and historian from Basel, who taught theology and medicine at Universität Basel. He is the author of Prosopographiae heroum atque totius illustrium virorum Germaniae (1567-1570) a three-volume prosopographical work on prominent German men from antiquity to the sixteenth century. He died in Basel on March 3, 1595.
