- Diocese of Āmid was empty for 10 years (after 1628) until it was filled by the metropolitan Shemʻōn; he was the scribe of manuscripts in 1637 and 1638, and is mentioned in colophons from 1651 to 1657, where he's associated with patriarch Shemʻōn XI, probably because of Catholic sympathies
