Giovanni, da Capua, active 13th century. Directorium humanae vitae

Latin translation of an Arabic version (Kalīlah wa-Dimnah) of the Indian fable collection Pañcatantra. For his translation, Giovanni da Capua is believed to have used a Hebrew version composed by a rabbi in the twelfth century.
