Juste de Beauvais, head of the Capuchin mission to Baghdad, who translated Richelieu's catechism Instruction du Chrétien into Arabic while visiting France in 1636; he wrote a letter to Richelieu explaining the text's importance in missionary work in the East; his translation appeared in print in 1640, first printed in Paris by Antoine Vitré
