Fātiḥa/muqaddima Kitāb al-naḥla, "Introduction to 'The book of the bee'"; date 1666, original language Arabic; literary sampler collecting excerpts, short tracts, etc., from Macarius's reading, mainly of Greek books, compiled in 1666 when traveling from Georgia to Russia; introduction includes a original writing on the changes the (Orthodox) Christians in the Arab world experienced from Antiquity to the Middle Ages, focusing largely on persecution/oppression
