Sande, Rui de, -approximately 1504
Portuguese courtier, diplomat, and soldier in the service of king João II (1455-1495). He participated in negotiations concerning the treaty of Tordesillas and the marriage of Prince Alfonso (1475-1491) to Princess Isabel of Aragon (1470-1498). He was also a soldier active in the reconquest of North Africa.
