Western, Thomas, 1761-1814
Thomas Western was a Royal Navy Officer commissioned as Lieutenant in 1780, Commander in 1793, and Rear Admiral in 1814. He commanded the HMS Vesuvius and HMS Scorpion in the early 1790s, and the HMS Dictator and HMS Tamar in the latter 1790s. In early 1806, he was commissioned to serve on the HMS Hibernia, and later on the HMS London. He died in December, 1814.
