Anna, Empress, consort of Matthias, Holy Roman Emperor, 1585-1618
A member of the House of Habsburg by birth, she married Matthias in 1611, and shortly thereafter was crowned Empress of the Holy Roman Empire and Queen of Germany (1612), then Queen of Hungary (1613) and Queen of Bohemia (1616). She was the daughter of Ferdinand II, Archduke of Further Austria, and Count of Tyrol, and his second wife, Anna Caterina Gonzaga.
