General notes
- Description
- Some sources place Perret in London post 1571. The only primary evidence of his activity dates to 1569-1571 and his two copy-books Exercitatio Alphabetica (1569) and Eximiae peritiae alphabetum (1571). His death is mentioned in Jacob Honthusius's Exemplaria sive formulae scripturae ornatioris (1591), but the date of death is not mentioned. He may have died considerably before 1591.
